We go back a long way, Bugbear putting on their first gigs thingummy wossname years ago! You could almost call this excellent, Essex schooled punky ska band ‘vintage’ now, but they’re still very youthful compared to most of the skanking opposition out there!
Energy? Yes! Loads of it. And superb songs crafted with beautiful brass infused bubblin’ reggae and ska…with a thoroughly British accent in place both vocally and stylistically.
A superb band, and a fantastic night out assured. “With their genre-blending sound, razor-sharp musicianship, and an ever-growing fanbase, The Kubricks continue to cement their place at the forefront of the UK’s modern ska movement.” Amen.
Excellent taut and twisty turny post punk full of elastic bass, crisp drums, angular guitars and cool, knowing vocals. Ruts, Killing Joke, Gang of Four, Stranglers.
